I was playing online at Bingo.com today and I witnessed what can only be described as a 'chat dispute' between a couple of players. These players seemed to know each other, but before too long other players in the room had entered the fight and it all started to get a bit nasty. Now I'm sure any regular online bingo player, or poker player for that matter, has seen this happen, so this got me thinking, what actually is acceptable behavior in an online bingo hall?

My mother always told me 'if you can't say anything else don't say anything at all', which seems like good advice and nowhere more so than in online bingo. If one of your fellow players hits the

jackpot that you thought you were sure to win, then either shut up or wish them WTG (way to go), GG (good game) or WD (well done). It's not their fault you missed out, and when you win you will appreciate the support of your fellow players.

It is common to 'cheer' for particular numbers in chat, this is fine and it serves to add to the atmosphere of the game. That said, when two players go back and forward each typing in their number over and over it gets really boring for other players.

Of course, the ultimate in bad manners is bad language or offensive behavior. If you are unfortunate enough to witness such behavior then try politely asking the person to refrain. If the behavior continues, mention to you chat master you are finding their comments offensive, or if the chat is not hosted, go straight to support and report the player.

So next time you are playing remember that online bingo is about having fun and meeting new friends, so leave your bad manners at home!
